🎭 Recital FAQ – From Page to Stage

📖 Everything you need to know… without flipping 10 pages

  • Saturday, May 16th at the B&L Fine Arts Center

    Chapter 1: 2:00

    Chapter 2: 4:30

    • Chapter 1: 2:00 PM

    • Chapter 2: 4:30 PM

    Please look in your parent Portal to see what show your child is in.

  • Each show is about 1.5 hours or less!

    • Pre-order: $10

    • Day of show: $15

    Order early and Save! - Buy one show get the second show half off!

  • Yes—each family purchases their own tickets.

    We do not offer comp tickets for our end-of-year recital.

    👉 Instead:

    • We do not charge a recital fee

    • Ticket sales help cover the cost of renting the venue

    • Dancers always attend anyshow for free

  • Dancers should:

    • Check in 30 minutes before their show time

    • Be backstage 3 numbers before their dance

    In the lobby at the Fine Arts Center before heading to their seats or backstage

    • Every dancer receives a Finale Shirt

    • Shirts will be given out the week of the show

    • All dancers wear it for the finale dance

  • Yes! ALL dancers participate in the finale!

  • If your dancer earned a special trophy:

    • They will receive it at the end of their last show of the day

    • If only in one show, they receive it at the end of that show

  • Quick essentials:

    • Costumes, tights, shoes

    • Hair supplies & makeup

    • Water + clean snacks

    • Safety pins & extra bobby pins

  • Yes!

    • Date: May 15th

    • Location: Fine Arts Center

    • This is NOT required-but very much so encouraged!

    • Important:

      • No costumes

      • This is for spacing and learning the flow

Show Process

Backstage

Take your dancer backstage 3 numbers before their routine. Enter doors to the right of the stage (house right) Check your dancer in with helper at BACK stage door. Please wait to take dancers back inbetween numbers to not block audience memebers

Watching your dancer

After Dropping your dancer off, return back to the audience and and enjoy watching your dancer shine! After your dancers number, go to the door left of the stage and Grab your dancer to change or join you in the audience to enjoy the show.

Finale

Everyone participates in the Finale! Please wear your finale shirt and take your dancer back stage 2 numbers before the Finale. After the Finale all dancers will sit on stage and cheer on their DEA Family recieving their awards!

After Recital

Once awards have been presented. We will dismiss students by age group. We ask that one Parent will come to the stage and grab their dancer. Please take lots of pictures and tell them how proud of them you are!
